The Galaxy Knit Dress is a round-neck knitted dress with a long, set-in sleeve. The dress has an A-line shape with side splits, and can be worn as a tunic. The fabric has a black base with a multi-metallic yarn knitted throughout, and has some weight and structure to it.

A smooth-surfaced yarn, this fabric has soft structure supported by the compact nature of the knit. Blended into the yarn is a subtle metallic fibre, adding a touch of sparkle to the finished appearance.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibres are derived from sustainable wood and pulp, coming from certified and controlled sources.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001) as meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose. According to Higg's life cycle impact assessment data, CO2 emissions and fossil resource use are approximately half that of the industry average.

A special manufacturing system enables LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres to be identified in the final product, even after long textile processing and conversion steps through the value chain.

Recycled polyester and recycled nylon are lower impact materials compared to their virgin counterparts, and are made from post-industrial and post-consumer waste like plastic bottles. We choose to use recycled rather than new as part of our commitment to use preferred fibres according to our ELK Preferred Materials Guide.

This knit was made in Dongguan, China by Cool Partners International who we have been working with since 2016. It was manufactured in the Dongguan Kinci Knitting Factory, established in 1992, which we have visited to see our items in production. Knitwear production is highly specialised and Cool Partners are actively working with us to source more sustainable yarns from progressive yarn mills such as UPW and Novetex.

The factory is a member of Sedex and undergoes regular social compliance audits.
