KEY INGREDIENTS: Rosehip Oil + Hempseed Oil + Rice Bran Oil

Rosehip Oil: in hair, it helps dry strands regain moisture, repairing damaged hair and temporarily minimising the effects of split ends. On skin, it contains carotenoids, which help keep your skin fresh and healthy by creating new skin cells.

Hemp Seed Oil: in hair, it improves hair smoothness, shine, and luster. On skin, it prevents flakiness and itchiness.

Rice Bran Oil: rich in amino acids, antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and vitamins. It has many benefits for hair care, such as adding shine, preventing split ends, making hair soft, strengthening roots. On skin, it increases skin's natural regeneration, encourages moisture retention, and soothes irritation

The main idea of the second-use packaging for their self-care box was that they wanted to encourage introspection through the packaging, without compromising its original purpose and form—while keeping Mother Earth in mind.

As a simple analogy, they thought that by adding self-love practices to the design of the inside of the boxes, they could facilitate introspection. A poem to keep, a letter to your future self, a bookmark, a candle holder... It's not changing the world, but it's questioning how things are currently done and trying their best to offer better alternatives, one daily ritual at a time.

About the Brand

Established as a retail shop in 2015, Merge expanded its vision in 2023 with the launch of its in-house self-care and apparel line. Named for the idea of bringing creative goods together under one roof, Merge continues to operate from its flagship location in the Canadian surf town of Tofino.

When designing their products, they aim to use natural and sustainable materials, whether it’s for clothing, self-care products, or home goods.

They use coconut oil as a base for their Balmy fragrance, and are currently working on sourcing a locally made oil. They aim to reduce as much as possible the use of synthetic agents, under 1% of the total content, and go for natural alternatives whenever possible.

Their clothing, self-care and home goods are mostly handmade or manufactured in Canada.

What we do to uplift ourselves in turn pours outward to our community and environment, and vice versa.
