Lunar Horse Beaded Bag Loop – Crimson

2026 marks the Year of the Horse. A minimal, sculptural horse charm was hand-carved in wax and cast in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

The knot charm draws from Maedup, a traditional Korean knotting technique. The original knot was hand-tied by Kara’s niece in Korea, then 3D-scanned and replicated through mold, preserving the texture and form of the handmade original.

The hinged O-ring can be hung off or looped around a bag strap or keychain.

About the Brand

Once she graduated, she decided to take a 2 year metal-smithing program to understand the production-side of jewelry making. It was 2013, she had just finished the metal-smithing program and felt confident, prepared, and determined to start her own brand.

Now, after more than 10 years in the jewelry design business, she has been able to alter her collections to reflect her personal identity, creating pieces she would want to wear.

Her aesthetic is a mix of west-coast laid back with an eye towards nuanced proportions and mixing softness with structure. She's consistently drawn to East-Asian minimalism, and Japanese design philosophies like wabi sabi, but sometimes she gets a kick out of that 90’s/Y2K North American maximalism. Throughout her design process, she enjoys referencing vintage pieces and pop-culture motifs.

She focuses on making transitional pieces that fit with our everyday lifestyles. They can be easily worn for special occasions, casual moments, the workplace, travels etc., and are made to be cherished for years to come.
