Using a washing machine is strongly discouraged to prevent altering the properties of the materials.

Waterproof your shoes using a product appropriate for the material. Repeat every 3 to 6 months.

Regularly brush your pair with cold water and a mild soap (such as Marseille soap or black soap).

Let dry in the open air, away from heat sources (such as sunlight or radiators), to prevent discoloration.

Panels: Suede and Organic Traced leather (O.T.)

Insole: Amazonian rubber (11%), E.V.A. bio-sourced (45%, including 36% sugar cane), recycled E.V.A. (13%), organic cotton (5%) and others (26%)

Outsole: Amazonian rubber (50%), mineral silica (26%), synthetic rubber (5%) and others (19%)

Lining: Recycled polyester (100%)

Laces: Organic cotton (100%)

Suede is the underside of leather, sanded to give it a soft and smooth feel. It comes from farms in the Rio Grande do Sul region and is tanned in Brazil without harmful or prohibited chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that meet regulations and prioritizes responsible water use during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with PFC-free water-repellent oils to shield the shoes from light rain.

About the Brand

VEJA uses Brazilian and Peruvian organic cotton for the canvas and laces, Amazonian rubber for the soles, and various innovative materials made from recycled plastic bottles or recycled polyester.

VEJA sneakers are produced in high-standard factories in Brazil and Portugal.

The organic cotton used at VEJA is grown by farmer's associations in Brazil and Peru who harvest it with respect for people and the environment.

One of the main raw materials for VEJA is Amazonian rubber. Since 2007, VEJA has been working with Amopreab, which coordinates rubber production. This rubber was certified in 2019 thanks to the support of VEJA to improve the living conditions of the rubber tappers and protect the Amazonian forest.
